Book Now: Psychology Teacher Webinars Start This Week

Joseph Sparks

9th October 2017

A new series of teacher CPD webinars for Psychology is about to start, with the first webinar taking place on Wednesday 11th October.

Following our series of popular teacher CPD webinars in the autumn term last year, tutor2u are delighted announce the launch of a new series of webinars, starting on Wednesday 11th October.

In our first three webinars, we will present the results of a forensic analysis of student performance in Papers 1, 2 and 3 (2017) and recommend what you can do as you prepare students for June 2018.

We will provide an enhanced breakdown of the AQA A Level results, exploring the highs and lows of Papers 1, 2 and 3, using the data to inform and guide your teaching practice. In particular, we will:

  • explore the average score by topic, highlighting the problematic questions in Papers 1, 2 and 3
  • evaluate student performance in relation to the different assessment objectives
  • analyse the essay questions, comparing the different types of essay questions and student performance

In addition, we will explore the most challenging areas of each paper and look at how students can maximise their marks, while providing a selection of teaching and learning strategies/activities that will help you and your students.

Details of all three webinars can be found here! Make sure you put the following dates in your diary, as places are limited:

  • Wednesday 11th October: Success in Teaching AQA A Level Psychology: Paper 1 (2017) Insights and Actions
  • Wednesday 18th October: Success in Teaching AQA A Level Psychology: Paper 2 (2017) Insights and Actions
  • Wednesday 25th October: Success in Teaching AQA A Level Psychology: Paper 3 (2017) Insights and Actions

With harsh budget cuts facing many Psychology departments, online CPD can provide a cost-effective training opportunity for many teachers. Our new series of teacher CPD webinars are priced at £10+VAT. Each webinar lasts for approximately 45 minutes, including 10 minutes Q&A.

All resources used in our webinars will be made available to attendees immediately following the webinar and are included in the webinar price. Furthermore, a recording of the webinar will be made available to all customers so that you can watch the webinar back at your convenience and even show your students.

Last year, tutor2u hosted over thirty teacher CPD webinars to nearly 1,000 teachers.

The webinars provided by the tutor2u team have been an invaluable source of knowledge. They have offered exciting and alternative way to teaching Psychology. Due to the change to the spec and being a new teacher, I have found that the webinars have not only given me help but also boosted my confidence in my own teaching ability knowing that I am delivering effective lessons. I can't thank the team enough for their amazing webinars and resources. Amanda Pinder, Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College

Really valuable webinar that included model answers and in-depth analysis of past questions in order to explore lessons learned. Excellent training tool for teachers with the added bonus of being able to download a video of the webinar and share with my students! Carey Allen Head of Psychology, Northampton College

Incredibly useful and supportive webinars, I have attended a few including Issues and Debates, Biopsychology, what happened in the exam and the first of the RSM series. All have given me more confidence in delivering the new spec and loads of fab resources that both the students and myself enjoy using. And a sounding board - very useful being the sole teacher. I wish I had found Joseph and the tutor2u team earlier! Xanthe Miller, Head of Psychology, St Peters Catholic School, Guildford

CPD I really look forward to! Interesting, engaging and effective activities, advice and guidance from other teachers who really care and are brilliant at what they do. This coupled with excellent presentation and webinars make tutor2u an invaluable source of support and inspiration. Emily Wright, Woking College.

I found the webinar on Schizophrenia incredibly useful. The activities are so focused on getting the students to see what is actually important & designed to draw out the skills required. I would be lost without the guidance from tutor2u and the support network it has provided me with. Thank you doesn't say enough. Katy Willson, Thomas Bennett Community College.
