The cost of living crisis will hit blind and partially sighted people harder

Many blind and partially sighted people are being hit harder by increases in the cost of living than the wider population. In a recent twitter thread, the RNIB explained why.
The living costs of a person of pension age with a severe sight impairment are 73 per cent higher than for someone without sight loss.

People with sight loss are twice as likely to be excluded from the benefits of the internet and digital devices, due to skills, confidence or accessibility.
