Thriving and declining cities from globalisation

As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, major cities are thriving. Deeply linked with one another, they have become magnets for increasing flows of wealth, talent and foreign investment. Other cities however are struggling and many seem to be in semi-permanent decline.
