This activity is an ideal starter or plenary during an introductory session on economics.

The PowerPoint-quiz sets two tasks for students.

The first is to debate and decide on the key skills and characteristics of an economist.

The second asks students to decide which of the nine quotes on screen were made by economists and which were made by politicians.

Both tasks are useful in generating discussion on the nature and value of economics as a subject and its wider role for society!
