Why Electric Planes are Inevitably Coming

19th June 2021
This Wendover Productions clip looks at aviation, in this case, the rise of electric planes.
In this instance, they start from the premise that airlines benefit from significant economies of scale, and an awful lot of information. As a result, it seems to be inevitable that in the future, they will move towards electric planes.
However, it starts from an interesting premise - that airlines don't currently really care about the environmental concerns of flying - and considers the role of profit and non-profit businesses within an economy. However, it seems to be the case that regulation is going to drive them toward this end.
