If you ask a group of Economics students what career they are hoping to pursue many will talk about banking or trading. When you ask them why they are interested in such a job they will usually start with the 'I can earn bag-fulls of money'. It's a useful way of starting a conversation on the supply of labour and the fact that our desire to supply our skills is driven by the financial reward.
