Marcelo Giugale, an economist at the World Bank Global Practice on Macroeconomics and Fiscal Management illustrates how macroeconomists can influence policy to improve the lives of the poor - the key is to identify who the poor are - about how we fight poverty in the trenches. Technology is reducing the cost of finding out who the poor are.
