Labour Market Enforcement Tsar Starts Work

Professor David Metcalf is starting work as the new Labour Enforcement Tsar leading a campaign against abuses in the labour market including allegations made against transnational companies with deep supply chains across many countries.

Professor Metcalf is a stalwart academic from the London School of Economics highly regarded for his work in helping to establish and develop the UK minimum wage nearly twenty years ago. Improving enforcement of better standards in the labour market can be regarded as a public good.
