Is the UK failing to keep pace with the big industrial strategies of the US and EU?

Mariana Mazzucato, author of the Entrepreneurial State, writes in the Guardian about how Britain is failing to match the USA and the EU in its response to the Inflation Reduction Act.

She argues that whereas the US and the EU have the resources and the inclination to formulate a genuine industrial strategy designed to set up the economy for the challenges to the future, the UK has opted for 'ad hoc' policy changes, and a piecemeal industrial strategy.
