Amazon must improve working conditions say unions
12th October 2020
Once again, Amazon is in the firing line regarding working practices, with trades unions arguing that the government should be doing more to protect workers' rights.
They argue that the government has given Amazon a number of valuable contracts worth in excess of £600 million and as a result, should be exerting more pressure on the company to improve working conditions.
Amazon earned £630 million in government contracts from 2015-2020.

If Amazon takes public money, it should act in the public interest.
The government must hold Amazon accountable for exploiting its workers and not paying its fair share in tax.https://t.co/AgGf1HTkEo
