Fair Pay, Fair Workplace explores equality, diversity and inclusion, gender pay gaps, percentage calculation, workplace ethics and the business benefits of a diverse, inclusive workforce.

Students define equality, diversity and inclusion and consider how these principles support fair treatment and belonging at work. They use illustrative hourly pay data to calculate a company’s gender pay gap and explain why an average pay gap can exist even when equal pay applies to the same job. The final task asks students to explain how a diverse and inclusive workforce can improve creativity, decision-making, customer understanding, reputation, recruitment, employee retention and motivation.
