Brand Portfolios - Who are VF Corp?

It's always interesting to come across an unfamiliar name in a familiar industry - and to learn a little more about that business.

I've been researching the global sportswear and sporting goods market recently and unearthed some useful data on market size, market growth and market shares. In doing so I noticed an unfamiliar name amongst the likes of Nike, Adidas, Puma, New Balance and Asics.

As the chart below indicates, at number three in the list of top global companies in the sportswear and sporting goods market is VF Corporation. VF who?
