Here is an overview of some key results statistics for A Level Politics in 2018.

A LEVEL POLITICS

Note: this data is for the last main sitting of the legacy Government & Politics specifications.

The total number of entries for A Level Politics exams in 2018 was 17,964. This represented an increase of 441 entries (2.5%).

The total number of entries for A Level Politics by major awarding body in 2018 compared with 2017 is shown in the chart below. Note, OCR no longer offers A Level Politics.

The cumulative percentage of candidates for each grade awarded by each awarding body in 2018 was:

AS POLITICS

Summer 2018 was the first sitting of the new standalone AS Politics qualification.

The total number of entries for AS Level Politics exams in 2018 was 10,108. This represented a decrease of 13,803 entries (57.7%) on the number of candidates who sat the legacy AS Politics papers in 2017.
