Getting started on AS politics - who am I?
5th September 2016
One of the first things that all new students of AS Politics need to know is that a huge proportion of the marks available in their AS exams are for knowledge about examples. So why not get them started in the right way with this slightly cheesy but rather fun interactive quiz game about naming important politicians?
All you need to do to get started is to load up this website and display it on your whiteboard. Some teachers may remember the (fairly terrible!) Powerpuffs animation from the 1990s - someone has resurrected it and turned it into a politics quiz. Fourteen politicians have had the Powerpuff animation treatment - students should vote, as a class, which politician they think each animated character is meant to represent.
As a follow up task for homework, students should note down the names of the politicians from the game and find out 5 key pieces of information about them.
