About the role
Kingsworth International School is seeking to appoint a secondary-level geography teacher (KS3-5) to join our established Humanities Faculty starting August 2024. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
This recruitment is to expand our existing team. The successful candidate will be expected to teach IGCSE and A level Geography, as well as support our Key Stage 3 humanities programme. Experience preparing students for GCSE or IGCSE geography is essential; and candidates with previous experience teaching A level geography will be preferred.
Kingsworth is a UK-curriculum school situated in central Paris. Pupils follow IGCSE and A level curricula. Our school is unique in its small yet highly diverse classes – diverse both internationally and academically. At Kingsworth, we believe that everyone is able to be successful – irrespective of their prior attainment. We achieve this through a strong emphasis on formative assessment, classroom dialogue, and responsive teaching. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate expertise in these practices.
Our school is committed to maintaining workload at a manageable level. Our teachers are supported by the leadership to implement their own marking and feedback policy – as fits the needs of their students – and our practices are evidence-informed and their impact constantly evaluated. Moreover, our small staffing body means that each teacher is able to make their mark on their faculty’s curricula, pedagogy, and teaching and learning policies alongside experienced and dedicated colleagues. Kingsworth is a unique and exciting place to work.
