Social Care Professionals

Social care professionals are individuals who provide support and assistance to people with physical, mental, or emotional needs. Some examples of social care professionals include:

  • Social workers, who provide support and advocacy for individuals and families facing challenges such as poverty, addiction, abuse, or disability.
  • Case managers, who work with individuals and families to develop and implement care plans to address their needs.
  • Counselors, who provide therapy and counseling to individuals and families to help them address emotional and psychological issues.
  • Personal care aides, who provide assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Occupational therapists, who help individuals with disabilities or injuries to improve their ability to perform everyday tasks.
