Adolescence

Adolescence is the transitional stage from childhood to adulthood and takes place between the ages of 9 and 18. There is rapid growth and development during this stage, with the main changes focusing around puberty and the development of primary and secondary sexual characteristics which is influenced by hormone production; oestrogen in females and testosterone in males.
