World Down Syndrome Day: With Us Not For Us

This World Down Syndrome Day is all about taking a human rights-based approach to disability.

A human rights-based approach views people with disabilities as having the right to be treated fairly and have the same opportunities as everyone else, working With others to improve their lives.

People with Down Syndrome don't need things doing for them, or decisions to made for them. They need to be included: #WithUsNotForUs

A former NHS midwife, she has taught in FE and secondary as HoD, is an SSAT Accredited Lead Practitioner, textbook author, and experienced senior examiner.
