The film An Irish Goodbye won this year's Oscar for best live action short film, as well as the Bafta in the same category. It stars actor and Mencap Ambassador, James Martin, who also happens to have Down's Syndrome.

James started his acting career in a theatre group for children with learning disabilities and although his full time job is as a barista, he loves acting, playing music and performing. He was the first actor with Down's Syndrome to win a Bafta and now he can add Oscar to that accolade too!

His girlfriend and fellow Mencap Ambassador Barbara Norris commented:

"It shows to everyone that it's changing your mindset on how people with disabilities can achieve as much as everyone else can,"
