The Centre for Global Development has just released fresh research on the extent of progress towards the Millennium Goals. This is the link to a set of inter-active charts and data available to download in excel format. An ideal site for student-centred research on this key topic.

The Millennium Development Goals include

o Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
o Achieve universal primary education
o Promote gender equality and empower women
o Reduce child mortality and improve maternal health
o Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
o Ensure environmental sustainability and develop a global partnership for development
