Haldane argues that interest rates heading north once again should be seen as a good news story - and not just for savers! It represents a stage of the economic cycle and ten years on from the financial crisis, that policy-makers believe is the opportune moment for interest rates to starting heading towards 'normal' levels, even if that new normal has changed.
