Trade Secrets at Irn Bru

Here is a good example of the importance that some busineses attach to their trade secrets!

12 cans of Irn Bru are consumed every second (good news for dentists) and the mystery blend remains a jealously guarded secret to the extent that Robin Barr, who is due to retire from this well known Scottish family firm is one of only two people in the world who knows the secret recipe for the best-selling Irn Bru drink and the two never travel on the same plane. Irn Bru continues to outsell global carbonated drinks brands in Scotland - this BBC Reporting Scotland video emphasis the importance of the long term nature of building and sustaining a brand and keeping a family identity.
