The new Economics editor of the BBC, Stephanie Flanders has produced this superb av clip on the rise to prominence of sovereign wealth funds. By 2012 these funds might have over £12 trillion to invest largely on the back of rising oil and gas prices. Superb background on this hugely important issue and how the petro-funds might be spread around the world economy.
