The vultures are circling round the carcass… the juicier bits of the Lehman Bros business are being looked by at potential buyers with one eye on the chance of picking up a real bargain. Robert Peston is on great form at the moment and in this blog he flags up the interest of Barclays in employing some of Lehman’s proven revenue generators most of whom are based in the US. But human capital does tend to depreciate when it is not used, and in the world of broker-client relationships, Barclays will have to move quickly.
