The RES 2011 Public Lecture will take place on Wednesday 14 December starting at 5pm at Bloomsbury Theatre, University College London and at the Vaughan Jeffreys Theatre, Education Building, Edgbaston Campus, University of Birmingham on Thursday 15 December.

This year’s lecture on “Britain’s public finances: past, present and future” will be given by the respected British economist Robert Chote, Chair of the Office of Budget Responsibility whose duty it is to examine and report on the sustainability of the public finances.
