Public goods in action - Venice uses a new flood barrier system

Flood defence projects don't come much more ambitious than the Mose flood barriers erected to protect the people and businesses of Venice.

They are now in use after installation and this World Economic Forum article considers their importance to a tourist hotspot at increasing risk from rising seas in the Adriatic.
