Regular blog readers will know that I am a great fan of TED talks. Playing the short presentations to classes of students on all kinds of issues and with a terrifically diverse range of speakers is never a waste of time. Indeed it might even sow the seeds of a change in aspirations for students - some of the very best TED talks are remarkable teaching resources. Here is one.

Jonathan Klein of Getty Images shows some of the most iconic, and talks about what happens when a generation sees an image so powerful it can’t look away—or back.
