To have a full understanding of the intricate working of a negative externality in a market, one must understand their origin; either in consumption or production. That exam boards allow one understanding is diluting the essence of the theory. This video on negative externalities (both in production and consumption) aims to clarify understanding and also provide some useful tips to students of how to draw the diagrams accurately.
