Great starter videos on economic freedom

The following two videos are sure to get your students talking about whether more economic freedom is a good thing and its relationship with growth and inequality.

The videos take as their source material the 2010 Economic Freedom of the World Annual Report which can be downloaded here.

I’m sure the claims made in the videos could generate a good level of discussion amongst your students. They are entitled “Economic Freedom and a Better Life” and “Economic Freedom and Growth”. The second video has the added bonus of a little bit of history regarding Adam Smith. Enjoy!
