I wrote last week that an estimated 15% of shops will be empty by the end of 2009. The problem appears to be even more worrying in Margate with 25% of shops vacant. Click read more for a really interesting BBC video about how Margate is trying to deal with the issue and a link to a Sun article showing the hotspots for empty shops across the UK.
