Great graphic along with other GDP related data can be found here on the Guardian’s Datablog.

The graph compares this recession with 4 previous recessions in terms of depth of severity and duration. It shows nicely what we mean when we talk about W, V and U – shaped recessions and could be useful in class to make predictions as to where the UK economy is going.
