Data Starter: Which countries were the world’s richest in 2024?

Which countries are the richest by GDP per capita? By GNI per capita? And by median wealth per capita?

Using this Visual Capitalist infographic, answer the following questions:

  1. Compare the UK’s 2024 ranking in each of the three categories and calculate the difference between the UK’s GDP per capita, the UK’s GNI per capita and the UK’s median wealth per adult.
  2. Using all three of the metrics, which country in the world listed is ‘the richest’ and which is the ‘least rich’?
