What has been happening to the value of the UK’s currency in recent years?

Using the House of Commons library chart of the Sterling Exchange Rate (https://commonslibrary.parliam...), do these data questions:

  1. By approximately how much has Sterling appreciated since its low in late 2016?
  2. Compare the value of Sterling at its peak and trough in the chart with its value in the base year.
