Contestable markets: Amazon buys online pharmacy PillPack

Shares in pharmacy retail chains plunged when news broke that Amazon is entering the online pharmacy market with the acquisition of PillPack. Creative destruction at work in the retail space. PillPack provides pre-sorted doses of medications and home delivery - exactly the sort of scaled product area that Amazon would be interested in.
