Have you noticed that so often at the start of a new school year there is a juicy financial or economic crisis to look at as students or teachers? The risks of a double-dip recession in America and core Europe seem very real as the markets fear that recovery has run out of steam and macro policy-makers have few bullets left. This Paul Mason Newsnight video provides a lively overview of the dangers of a downward economic spiral and I plan to use it in my A2 macro teaching this week.
