Apple's Acquisition Spree

A remarkable insight from Apple CEO Tim Cook revealing that Apple has bought a new company every month in the past six years.
This implies that a large part of Apple's growth has been externally-driven, by buying brands such as Beats Electronics and Shazam.
However, in other instances, the company has purchased nascent technology and incorporated these innovative technologies into its own products.
Up to July 2020, Apple had acquired 20 artificial intelligence startups since 2010, more than any other company.
It also indicates exactly how much cash Apple has acquired in order to be able to growth in this fashion.
Apple has acquired about 100 companies over the last six years, the company’s chief executive Tim Cook has revealed.
