One of the members of the Monetary Policy Committee, Andrew Sentance gave a speech on Tuesday which looked back at previous UK economic cycles and compared and contrasted with the current position. This might be an excellent resource to stretch and challenge bright students. It is available for download here from the Bank’s own web site.
