The Social Development Minister of Northern Ireland, Mr Nelson McCausland has confirmed today, he is banning fixed price promotions of alcohol. This now means the end of the 'all you can drink' cheap nights out in Belfast and the rest of the Northern Ireland province. This article from the BBC is a great resource when teaching Government Intervention Policies when trying to reduce market failure. An interesting shadow view, is that of cruise ship liners, who are trying to overtly promote this type of sales strategy.
