Further to Geoff’s post on the North Korean Global Happiness Index, the only graphic I could find on this was in Chinese. So I asked one of my Chinese-speaking students to do the translation so I could get something that I could show my class tomorrow.

Hopefully their English is as good as their Chinese! The result is below and apologies for my lack of graphic editing skills… I am hoping that someone will come along and do a much better job of putting together this index (in English) but I prefer to strike while the iron is hot. In any case, it will make for a brilliant discussion - if only North Korea would reveal what goes in to their index! Perhaps watching goose stepping military parades really does make you happy!
