This is an effective interactive activity to use when revising the key topic of motivation!

Perhaps best used as a starter in a revision lesson, Motivation Play Your Cards Right involves each student being given a ‘motivation playing card’.
The teacher than reads out a number of statements relating to the motivational theorist and the students need to raise the correct card.
This allows instant diagnostic assessment as well as the opportunity for further development of the key point in between statements being read out.
It is also useful to read statements out that can apply to more than one theorist (multiple solutions) and quiz the students as to why they raised that particular card.
We've provided a few suggested statements to read out, but feel free to add your own! You could even ask students to produce some suggested statements that they use to test on each other...
