CambridgeOCR have launched a really interesting and accessible Level 3 Award in Personal Finance.

The Cambridge OCR Level 3 Award in Personal Finance is for first teaching from September 2026.

It is a small, England-only qualification for students aged 16+, requring 30 guided learning hours and carrying UCAS tariff points.

The teaching content spans three topic areas: personal financial activity, using financial services, and financial planning. It builds money-management confidence, critical thinking and decision-making skills.

It suits a post-16 programme alongside A Levels, with no entry requirements.

Assessment is via a 60-minute, paper-based external exam, sat in January or June, with a resit option.
