Simon Sinek is talkin’ ‘bout your generation!

I’m a huge fan of Mr Sinek and blogged about his TED Talk, “Start with Why”,back in 2015. This year, he’s been very popular on social media after his interview with Inside Quest in which he discusses the difficulties of managing Millennials (those pesky young people born after 1984).

He puts forth the four main reasons why this young generation are so difficult to lead effectively, and in doing so, covers business topics such as:

• Social change
• Technological change
• Economic Environment
• Leadership
• Motivation
• Short-termism

I would encourage all teachers and students to watch the clip not only for its Business Studies relevance, but as a great discussion starter for the relative pros and cons of our culture of instant gratification.
