Is this a decisive moment for the expansion of electric vehicles?

Volvo is making electrification a core part of their business. All of the models it introduces from 2019 will be either hybrids or powered solely by batteries. Journalists at Wired magazine claimed that "Volvo's switch to electric is a death-knell for combustion."
