Product Innovation Finds Commercial Uses for Greenhouse Gas!

16th October 2017
With all the concern about CO2 emissions, this article from the BBCprovides encouragement to those of us who believe in the capacity of product innovation to provide solutions!
The article describes a variety of ways in which CO2 is being captured and then used in manufacturing processes to create popular products.
For example, captured and reprocessed CO2 can make up to 50% of the ingredients needed for making plastic. It can also be used in the production of concrete!
The examples provided are, unfortunately, still small scale. So they'll do relatively little to address the issue of greenhouse gas emissions, certainly in the short-run.
