This brief clip of an interview with Lord Stuart RoseThis brief clip of an interview with Lord Stuart Rose, chair of Ocado and former CEO of M&S, is firmly in the Business Gold category. In 47 seconds, Lord Rose covers the impact of weakening exchange rate, rising costs, the worsening climate for retailers, and the need eventually to pass costs on to consumers. His comments are given against the background of the BDO High Street Sales tracker for February, which showed that total like-for-like sales were down by -2.2% in February, making it the worst February since 2009 when the financial crisis was battering the UK.

If nothing else, it would be great stimulus material for students to listen to, and then use as the basis to practise drawing breakeven graphs - to show which curves on the graph will shift, and what effect this will have on breakeven output.
