Greater Regulation of Advertising on the Cards to Tackle Gender Stereotyping

This BBC video explains how tighter regulation of advertising is to be introduced in the UK - which will affect some well-known consumer brands!

Advertising in the UK is regulated by the ASA (Advertising Standards Association). Is it going too far with this latest "crackdown"?

The ASA in its report claims:

“Our review shows that specific forms of gender stereotypes in ads can contribute to harm for adults and children”
