A Beautiful Takeover?

It's a red lipstick day for shareholders in Elizabeth Arden after it agreed to a £620m takeover yesterday by fellow global cosmetics giant Revlon.
There are four major global players in the cosmetics industry - Revlon, L'Oreal, Estée Lauder and Elizabeth Arden.
This takeover brings two of the big four together and the aim is clearly to generate some significant cost and revenue synergies.
As the article in the Guardian explains:
"The deal is expected to generate $140m of savings by removing overlap, integrating the manufacturing and distribution networks of both companies and giving them greater purchasing power
