What happens when lockdown ends?

Sarah Best

6th May 2020

This video from BBC Newsnight explores what possible impacts there will be once the lockdown ends in the UK.

One example provided is that the hospitality industry employs approximately 10% of the British workforce. Many people currently working in this industry, may have already lost their job or it could be at risk once businesses begin to open.

The video also discusses the wider impact of the scheme and how long, realistically, the scheme can last for and support employers and employees.

This video could be used for Work, Poverty and Welfare (responses and solutions to poverty by the state).
