Netflix has released a documentary series focusing on alternative well-being treatments in (Un)Well.

The first episode of the series focuses on essential oils. Some people claim that these can not only be used to help people to calm anxiety for instance, but also cure diseases such as cancer. Despite evidence to the contrary, the essential oil industry is booming.

Other episodes include: fasting, bee sting therapy.

Additional information:

  • Students will need access to a Netflix account
  • Some episodes do contain explicit material that some users may find uncomfortable

This could be used for the Health unit.
