It's always tricky to know how to start the GCSE course with students - do you spend an hour relaying expectations and explaining the assessment structure and content or do you just plough straight into the content? Or do you do something else?

An introduction to Sociology is pretty essential bearing in mind that it's a new subject to students and many will have signed up completely oblivious to what the subject actually entails!

So why not grab our GCSE Sociology Induction Pack? The pack is even bigger this year and has a number of different activities to get students thinking about what makes a good sociologist, the concepts studied at GCSE and why sociology is useful, along with some brief information about the course, a very basic overview of the 3 main perspectives and the concept of conflict vs consensus, and some sociology in the news thrown in!

And it's free to download - even better!
